A cool, neutral khaki-grey inspired by bleached deep-neutral of old pieces of French and Italian furniture. It works beautifully with golds and a range of rich and bright colours such as Emile and Emperor’s Silk.
French Linen works well with Emile and Emperor’s Silk.
Against a wall in Scandinavian Pink a French side table painted in French Linen with Louis Blue inside. It is waxed and rubbed back to show a little of the wood underneath. With carving, it is often best to paint it one colour to keep it uncomplicated.
